liz + bill // married {oregon/washington wedding photography}

a burst of sunshine on this icy day - i'm so happy to share Liz & Bill's wonderful wedding. they married under the apple trees at a family property near Stevenson, Washington. it was so beautiful to see the love poured into their celebration by friends and family in attendance - cooking, eating, playing games, toasting, making music, and dancing. as the sun went down and it got a little chillier, guests sang huddled under the lights in the apple trees. i left them still singing together, heart full, humming "wagon wheel" as i drove away.

mike + sarah // married | oaks pioneer church, elder hall {portland wedding photography}

let's begin the new year with Mike & Sarah's sweet little wedding - a wonderful ceremony at Oaks Pioneer Church, dreamy portraits filled with July sunshine, and the most exquisite dinner at Elder Hall. so fun to look back on this day, so happy for these two! and welcome 2017!

britni + trenton // married | edgefield {portland wedding photography}

when i walked in to the hotel room where Britni was getting ready with her bridesmaids, everyone was singing Disney songs and Britni was embroidering her wedding date on her wedding shoes. it was like walking in to Cinderella getting ready with her fairy godmother and the rest of the day held that same fairytale charm. Rainbow colors, Disney centerpieces, superhero boutonnieres, a dress fit for a princess, joyful tears and laughter... I am so thrilled for Britni and Trenton and really loved being a part of their wedding!

a huge thank you to my amazing second shooter, Sarah Valentine! some of her images are mixed in below.

lindsey + sean // married | cooper spur mountain resort {oregon wedding photography}

Lindsey and Sean live in Alaska so we met for the first time at their engagement session a few days before their wedding in June. this is pretty much my favorite type of shoot, a walk in the forest with two people in love. and the wedding! the loveliest heartfelt wedding - wildflowers, sunshine, and Mt Hood. it was a joy to be present for this one!

daren + vanessa // married | maysara winery {oregon wedding photography}

what can i say about this wedding? Daren and Vanessa are made for each other. i was there when they met, and i've had the great pleasure of getting to be friends with both of them over the last five years. they are loyal, wonderful friends and they are so good to each other. i can't really express how special it was for me to photograph their wedding. i'm so happy for them!

many many thanks to my fabulous second shooter, Brie Mullin - some of her beautiful images are mixed in below.

maryam + damon // married | pasha restaurant {portland wedding photography}

well hey there! i am in the thick of wedding season and it's been months since i've had a chance to blog anything. so here i am trying to catch up - starting by sharing this awesome Persian wedding from May. Maryam and Damon and their families were a joy to work with. my time with them began with a hike to Wahclella Falls the day before the wedding, and culminated in their meaningful, gorgeous and wonderfully fun celebration at Pasha Restaurant the following evening. i had never been to a Persian wedding before and it was such a beautiful experience! so, without further ado - enjoy the photos! and have a great weekend :)

zach + shaina // married | silcox hut {oregon wedding photography}

Zach and Shaina were married in February - a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the cozy Silcox Hut at Timberline on Mt Hood. They've been together since high school and have been on countless adventures together - it seemed fitting to me that they celebrated their wedding at such an epic location. We took a snowcat to get there (first time i had ever been on one of those! super fun and kind of nervewracking, especially on the way back down in the dark) - the hut is above the main lodge at 7000 feet so it really felt like a whole other world. Especially with all the crazy snow! It was so intense we couldn't shoot outside much but we did manage a couple portraits - Zach and Shaina were very good sports!

Twinkly lights, candles, hanging baubles, white flowers and gold sequin tablecloths made an elegant setting for the family-style dinner at the reception. These two are such a stylish couple - Shaina wore a gorgeous beaded gown with fur stole and Zach's blue suit and pocket watch were very dapper. The blue fabric on her bouquet was the same material that Zach had used to make them bracelets in high school.

i am ridiculously thankful that the amazing Jay Eads was willing to be my 2nd shooter/backup for this wedding. i was 38 weeks pregnant at the time and couldn't have done this without him! some of his photos are mixed in below - see if you can spot the one of prego-photog-me! ;)

a million congratulations to Zach and Shaina and their families - thanks for such a special weekend.

enjoy xx
