chuck + leah // married | surfsand resort {cannon beach wedding photography}

oh what?! a new blog post? (hides)

ridiculously overdue, this wedding is from this past fall but i still wanted to share it - Chuck and Leah are the loveliest couple and i had such a wonderful time with them, and with their warm and welcoming family and friends. they got married at the Surfsand Resort in Cannon Beach during that crazy storm we had. they practically got blown off the dunes by the wind but we still got some photos on the beach and these two still managed to look phenomenal! such a memorable day, crowned with an unbelievably beautiful sunset. xx

katy + robby // married | wellspring spa at mt rainier

Wellspring Spa is utterly breathtaking. Beautiful trails with unique little cabins - I definitely want to come back here to vacation (or to shoot)! There are so many wonderful places to explore and that makes it this photographer's dream. The space suited Katy & Robby so well, it was a perfect place for them to be married.

Since Katy and Robby live in Seattle, I met them for the first time at their engagement session (check it out here). They are so warm and easygoing, I knew their wedding was going to be a lot of fun. I was also able to spend some time talking to family and friends at the rehearsal dinner the night before, and it was so nice to get to know the people in their lives. Everyone made me feel inexpressibly welcome and valued!

Many of the guests spent the weekend at the spa, and pitched in to set up the lovely details. Vintage handkerchiefs and childhood photos lined the path to the peaceful sanctuary where Katy and Robby said their heartfelt vows. The ceremony was officiated by a good friend of the couple - and it was one of the most moving ceremonies I have ever documented. The handkerchiefs were definitely put to good use. More dear friends created the delicious wedding feast and cakes. The reception reminded me of an intimate dinner gathering - everyone talking and eating and laughing together. There was wine, there was dancing! I left feeling so grateful to have been a part of the weekend. The photos will say it better than I can in words.
