Pam & David {Oregon Wedding Photography}

Pam and David were married at their home in Silverton, Oregon. Their ceremony was non-traditional in many ways, as this is the second marriage for each of them. Instead of the usual bridesmaids and groomsmen, their grown children stood with them at the altar. It was so beautiful to see them surrounded by love from their joined families.

Their house is just gorgeous, and is surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery - as well as a vineyard on the property (sadly there wasn't time to go there for portraits, but we found fun spots anyway!).

Pam looked so beautiful!

David has owned the property since the 1970's, and there are all sorts of cool antique objects around the barn that they used for the reception.

As favors, Pam & David gave their guests jars of homemade jam, with the most adorable labels and decorated lids.

All of their family was so funny and easygoing - I had a great time with their portraits!

It was such a lovely ceremony!

The rain held off until exactly the end of the ceremony - that's Pam's daughter Carolyn trying to shield her mother's head from the raindrops - but it wouldn't be a true Oregon wedding without a bit of rain. :)

The guests hurried to the barn for the reception. The barn was decorated beautifully with twinkling lights, flowers, and family photographs.

Congratulations, Pam & David!

Jared & Joanne {Oregon Wedding Photography}

Joanne and Jared were married at the Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom in Oregon City in May, surrounded by their wonderful families and friends. I can't say enough nice things about this wedding - everyone was so nice and the ceremony was so meaningful. Joanne and Jared are also ridiculously good-looking, as you will see. :) Thanks to Jay Eads for having me along! We began at Weatherford's Grand Lodge for portraits of the bridal party.

I just love the giddy smiles in the next one.

everyone wants a cake-cutting picture :)

Congratulations to Jared, Joanne, and their families!

Sara's Bridal Shower {Oregon Wedding Photography}

I had so much fun at Sara's elegant "Alice in Wonderland" bridal tea, hosted by her sister (and my friend) Brie. From the wonderful hats to the beautiful menu cards to the unique mis-matched teacups, this shower was so lovely! Not to mention the delicious treats - scones & crème fraiche, chicken salad on mini croissants, goat cheese crostini... mmm.

I loved the teapot labels!

Fun hats!

The beautiful bride-to-be, Sara!

These teacups were heirloom gifts from women in Sara's family. Each is delicate bone china and has a history all its own.

Have a good week!

Dennis & Melissa {Portland Wedding Photography}

Dennis & Melissa are a wonderful couple and it was such a joy to be part of their beautiful wedding! Yasmin Khajavi was kind enough to have me along as 2nd shooter. She is so fun to work with! You can see Yasmin's images from the day on her blog.

love the smile in her eyes.

the ceremony was in the wine cellar and had such romantic lighting!

almost time...so much awesomeness going on in this picture. :)

Congratulations, Dennis & Melissa!

Sarah & Guy {Oregon Wedding Photography}

I was lucky enough to play 2nd shooter for Jay Eads for two weddings in one weekend in August. Sarah and Guy's wedding was one of them. The ceremony and reception were held at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, which is a gorgeous venue. It was really nice to meet Sarah and Guy and their families and friends. And I must say, their dance party was one of the most exuberant I've ever seen. Fun!

Oh, and Jay is awesome to work with.

Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

Sarah has flawless porcelain skin. Love these ones of her before she's all dressed up.

Katie & Ryan {Oregon Wedding Photography}

I was the second for Jay Eads at Katie and Ryan's wedding, held at the Country Inn. It was a truly beautiful day, albeit scorching hot. I felt really honored to witness the very obvious love and devotion these two have for each other. Thanks for letting me tag along, Jay! :) Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

Katie was so elegant. 100 degree weather? She might as well have been in her own air-conditioned bubble for how perfect she looked.

[Sigh]

Jeff & Michelle {Seattle Wedding Photography}

It was so much fun to hang out with this great couple, Jeff & Michelle, during their wedding weekend. Anyone could see just by looking at the two of them how in love they are - I'm not gonna lie, I teared up during the ceremony and even during the reception. Both of their families, as well as the entire wedding party were just the nicest people - and the wedding was full of so many creative and beautiful details - breakfast for dinner, a gorgeous purple & green theme (complete with purple vans for the groomsmen, and purple and green candies on the cake table), lovely flower arrangements... the list goes on and on!

Now, Michelle is beautiful even without makeup. But both her mom and Jeff's mom cried when they saw her all made up.

Matt, Jeff's brother, officiated the wedding - he was ordained online!

The couple wrote their own vows.

Jeff's ring is made of tungsten - it matches his gun holster.

Michelle designed a lot of the wedding's most fun details - she made the I-Spy placecards and the invitations, and she and her aunt made the purple hanging decorations that adorned the vases forming the arch for the ceremony. The cake topper is so cute - Michelle & Jeff are both US Marshals, so it's very fitting.

"all the single ladies! all the single ladies!" I never realized how much fun that song could be.

What a beautiful night! I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
