melissa & sean | oswego lake country club {portland wedding photography}

lucky as always to have been able to shoot alongside Jay Eads for this super-gorgeous wedding last August. check out Jay's post here

Melissa and Sean make a wonderful couple and I was really moved by how loved they are by everyone in their lives. Melissa's maids of honor gave one of my favorite toasts ever, and that dance party was crrrrrazy (in the best way possible, of course). I had a lot of favorite images, so please bear with me on the long post, and have a wonderful weekend!

max & mandi | laurelhurst park {portland couples photography}

being the super good-looking and stylish couple that they are, max and mandi graciously agreed to model for me in october. right before they moved away to california, sadly. these images make me miss them! happy weekend everyone!

Niscelle & Molly | Forest Park {Portland Couples Photography}

Niscelle originally planned this shoot long distance from Washington DC as a surprise anniversary present for Molly, who is a Portland native - after talking to Niscelle over the past few months, I could not wait to meet them both! apparently, they met in Forest Park, so it turned out to be the perfect place to photograph them.

a sweet, silly and fun-loving couple. crisp fall light. a walk through the leaves. can't really ask for much more than that!

Amber & Jason | NW Portland {Portland Engagement Photography}

I just have to say, there is something special about fall in Portland. Sure, it's chilly, but the light is so beautiful! To start off Amber & Jason's engagement session, I met up with them at one of their favorite coffee places. I took a few frames from their apartment balcony as well before we went down to the Broadway Bridge and wandered around a bit in the Pearl. I had such a good time photographing these two - they are such a sweet couple and I can't wait for their wedding in Hood River next summer! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Beau & Beth | McMenamins Edgefield {Portland Wedding Photography}

one of those weddings where i couldn't stop smiling - Beau & Beth's day was so utterly joyful and full of personality! these two are such sweet souls, and so in love.

the wedding party got ready on separate floors in the Administrator's House at Edgefield, and the ceremony was held in the courtyard of the house. each aspect of the ceremony was so thoughtful. Beau and his father together made the arbor that Beau & Beth were wed underneath, and the fall leaves provided a beautiful backdrop. guests snacked on popcorn and cider as they arrived. Beth's father performed a smudging ceremony (burning sage to drive out bad energy) after he walked Beth down the aisle. Beau & Beth exchanged Dr. Seuss-style vows.

after the ceremony we took advantage of the rain-free day for some portraits, and towards the end the sun came out for some lovely golden light!

the reception was held in the upstairs of the Power Station and included a surprise song that Beth had written for Beau and played on the banjo, many heartfelt toasts, and a raucous dance party! so much fun!

enjoy the photos and have a happy halloween!
