erin & john {portland wedding photography}

it was so fun to 2nd shoot for Lauren Hurt at Erin & John's wedding in January. held at the Nines, this stunningly beautiful event was exquisitely planned by Blush Bridal. it was such a pleasure getting to know Erin & John and their friends and family, especially John's hilarious groomsmen, i was seriously laughing the whole day. here are my favorite images from the day - enjoy! check out Lauren's post here. happy weekend!

ethan & katie {oregon wedding photography}

the second of two rainy-day weddings from last winter, this one at Deep Woods in Elmira, 2nd-shot once again for the excellent Jay Eads. these two make an unbelievably cute couple. katie was such a trooper being willing to borrow my rain boots and squelch around for portraits. ethan and katie really wanted to infuse their wedding with a sense of homey comfort - right down to a delicious soup and salad dinner, plus a hot chocolate bar. such a wonderful idea, and the whole day really did feel very warm and homelike!

amy & brian {oregon wedding photography}

one of two rainy-day weddings i 2nd-shot for Jay Eads last winter. held at emerald valley golf & resort, this wedding included a beautiful couple (who were also great sports about the cold weather), a lovely ceremony, and homemade pumpkin pie for dessert (yum)!

kat & kris {bend, oregon wedding photography}

i'm catching up on blogging some of the weddings i 2nd-shot this year. makes me excited for the coming wedding season! this is one from august - a sunshiney bend wedding full of pinwheels, family, great music, great food, and the most fun photo booth i've ever been a part of. i was lucky enough to assist Jay Eads for this one!

Carolyn & Kyle {Portland Engagement Photography}

i had the privilege of photographing Carolyn's mother's wedding a couple years ago (check it out here), and was incredibly honored to be asked to be Carolyn's photographer when she got engaged to Kyle! We had a fun walk around Old Town taking their engagement portraits, walked across the Steel Bridge where Kyle proposed, and ended up at the Rose Garden. You miiight be able to tell they are Blazers fans. I can't wait for their wedding this September at Leftbank Annex!

Alexa & Alex {Portland Wedding Photography}

in september i had the opportunity to 2nd shoot for the absolutely wonderful andria lindquist. that in and of itself would have been awesome, but the wedding was so ridiculously beautiful, thoughtful, and filled with happiness! it was a gorgeously-sunny, elegantly-dressed, lit-up-with-love, march-down-the-street-with-a-freaking-band type of day. and i felt so lucky to be there! thank you andria, for having me along! and thank you to alex and alexa and their wonderful friends and family - congratulations!

these are my favorite images from the day. you can see andria's post here. and, while you're at it, check out this documentary she was featured in. it's pretty cool, inspiring for creatives of all types. happy happy weekend.

Amanda-Lee & Johanna {Victoria, BC Wedding Photography}

Johanna and I met when we were nine. It's one of those friendships that pick up right where we left off no matter how much time has passed - we've hardly ever lived in the same place over all these years, and life gets busy as we all know, but when we would reconnect, it was like no time had passed. So I had heard stories about Amanda for quite some time, obviously, but I didn't actually meet her until the day of the wedding!

What can I say about their wedding? My first time on a vespa, shooting while being driven by their yoga teacher. Witnessing their morning yoga session on the spot where they would later be married. Being welcomed by their incredibly kind families - they really could not have been more gracious to me. The lovely, intimate, meaningful ceremony, and all the care that went into creating the altar and blessings, and the promises made between Jo and Amanda. Plenty of time for portraits (always appreciated!). And the reception... Held at the amazing home of a family friend, with dinner by The London Chef - don't even get me started on the food. Or the gluten-free cakes. Seriously - unreal.

I could go on and on, but let's let the photographs speak for themselves. The happiness is infectious. I cannot describe how filled with joy I am for these two and their families and friends. And for myself, that I got to be there.
